with the sergeant. he says it happened on the 9th floor and the woman used the elevator presumably to get help, made it to the third floor where a guest discovered this woman and called 911. you're looking at photos of that set of elevators right now. they are shut down to guests here at the hotel as part of this investigation. parts of the 9th and 3rd floors are closed off to guest the at this time. police tell us that this woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition tonight. she suffered multiple stab wounds to her body. but she is likely to survive. police say that they believe that the victim and the suspect knew each other. they say this is not a random crime, so they do want to emphasize there is no threat they believe to the general public at this time or to guests at this hotel. what they are searching for at this hour is a motive and that suspect. they have not released a description of him. a woman in her 30s was stabbed multiple times at the embassy suites. . >>> chaos at l.a.x. tonight. a loud bang and then passengers were told to hit the floor. sharon chin in our newsroom wit
